Been playing the demo a lot, and is it just me or does Link seem to play way way better than his Brawl counterpart? It's not even that they made a ton of changes to his moveset or anything, but it just seems to flow so much better in this game. He was someone I loathed playing as in Brawl and would avoid at all costs, but he may actually be my favorite to play as in the demo of the 5, which shocks me.

Pikachu and Mario seem pretty similar to their Brawl ones, and Mega Man is really fun while Villager definitely takes some getting used to. He's a bit too recovery based and light on damage for me.

They must of dumbed down the AI, as I don't think I should already be able to beat Lv.9s so easily.

Brawl Lv.9s were pretty easy to beat also. It think they're pretty much the same.

Game feels so smooth. Loving every bit of it. The controls feel fine, I dunno why some people don't like the slide pad. It works great.

Nah I definitely had more trouble against Brawl CPUs, this I specifically remember from all those Mario vs Sonic vs Snake battles I did!

Just got the demo via a random person on a Smash Bros forum (who says there aren't nice people in the world?), can't wait to play it!

In case you didn't know, I have a comic book called Guardians. I'm the writer/creator of it, and we have four issues out right now, with our fifth coming out soon!

We're also doing a Patreon right now for the comic, and I'd appreciate any and all help in getting it funded. If 56 people pledged $3 per issue, we'll be funded

"Now that the game is out in Japan, the Conquest mode will be available in online multiplayer in the Japanese version. This is what the title screen will look like for the overseas version. In this mode, the game aggregates global wins among specific teams during a limited time and determines the victor. If you choose a participating fighter from the With Anyone option, you'll automatically participate in Conquest. We'll be running Conquest in beta for a while."

"Also, Conquest data where players seem to be losing on purpose will be removed from the calculations. And lastly, there's no point in working on this mode too much on your own, so don't overdo it…"

Playing the demo has been a lot of fun, although it has only whetted my appetite for more Smash!

Mario is much quicker and Link has some hard hitting attacks, which is great. Pikachu still isn't my cup of tea. Mega Man is a really interesting addition with this spacing attacks (with his neutral attack, forward smash, and forward areals being Mega Buster attacks). His specials are pretty garbage, but he's pretty dangerous otherwise!

Villager is really quirky, but that's what makes him so much fun. I also found that he's the hardest Lv. 9 CPU to beat. Just very annoying and his recover options are insane.
