Cartridge games have a battery in them, when the battery dies you will lose your gave data. (saves and high scores etc)

This can be fixed pretty easy in some games though. I did it with a used copy of pokemon silver.
My first was the 2600 which I think I got for xmas in 1981 (seems like it should have been 1980, but it must have been 1981). I do remember the games I got with it: Missile Command, Space Invaders, and Breakout.
Snes, I loved watching my brother playing MegaManX. Thats what lead me to getting a N64!
