Forums - Nintendo - The failings of not the console, but Nintendo's attitude towards it and their PR.

Hey fellow Nintendo fans read the article. It's a damn good article.

You know Nintendo should've really handled the image of this thing better.

Similar stuff going on with Vita here. Vita's death is partly caused by the expectation of death.

nintendo can take a lot of the blame. But Nintendo had to face with malicious sabotages by the media and certain individuals. Remember those rumors that wii u was on par with the 360 and ps3, almost all the major media outlet reported this as some of sort of truth.

See now what Nintendo SHOULD have done is release the full specs and stuff like that. Point to where it was obvious that it surpassed those easily.

What they chose to do is ignore the problem and keep quiet.

Nintendo really sucks at Marketing. They should learn a thing or two from Microsoft, those guys are gods at marketing. RRoD is even forgotten by now.

I agree nintendo should have quelched those rumors and it was their mistake letting them fly. THat is why they can take a lot of the blame. But the net is a cesspool of idiots especially amongst the gaming community, people can take what is written in the major websites as facts.

Nintendo is really failing on the marketing part especially on the wii u image and the screwing up of the release schedule of games.

i definitely see your point, i supporse i spend too much time on the internet :P

The death of Nintendo has been on the cards for almost 20 years now. That's greater than the age of some highly opinionated gamers these days, so you must forgive them for not knowing about a time before people were buggered mercilessly by microtransactions.

"IS THIS NINTENDO'S LAST CONSOLE?"*

Translations:

*¹ The "forumgoer":  I really hope I can convince everybody to think the same way as me because the mere existence of Nintendo fucking irritates me to the point where I can't even stay out of discussions that are not at all relevant to my interests.

*² The "journalist": My Website is kept afloat by the advertising revenue from third-party publishers who have been convinced via the power of FUD that third-party games do not make money on Nintendo consoles, so I am compelled to give credence to any report - no matter how dubious - which validates the popular opinion. I am even willing to invoke Betteridge's Law of Headlines to whip up controversy, because videogames do not deserve real journalism.
