I actually think Uncharted is the more relevant franchise today.

Gran Turismo is massive but I think its reached its potential.

Uncharted on the other hand has been growing tremendously. I also see the opportunities that are open to Sony with the Franchise.

They have an action adventure game that can really mix things up if they wanted to...the game can evolve with the times. Gran Turismo will always be a racing game. And that automatically isolates quite a bit of people. It also means the game will always be a certain way.

Uncharted also has potential to be a damn good movie franchise.

Anyways i just see more excitement and growth with Uncharted.

Sales figures comparisons are a bit skewed though. 1 main entry vs 3.

Gran Turismo is a franchise that transcends time, so my vote goes to Gran Turismo.

I thought the point of the thread was to say which franchise we think is bigger and why?

I gave my reasons as to why I think Uncharted is a "bigger" franchise at the moment.

Sales isnt the only factor with these kinda questions. Thats what i was addressing.

If we were only meant to look at the sales and say "well because Uncharted sold more its bigger even though it has more entries etc.." or "GT is bigger because it sold so much but only has 1 entry..etc." then my bad.

But that doesnt leave the thread open for much discussion...

well even though pezus probably wouldnt admit it the point of this thread is to show that this way of calculating what is a bigger franchise is flawd. GT is without a doubt bigger, but UC2 wins 2 out of 3 categories, proving that the method is inaccurate

If two main entry GT's released this gen and both sold well, the average would be in GT's favour. But obviously that didnt happen

GT1 = 11m......U1 = 4.5m
