"Nobody even remembers what the next one was about or the name of it, besides me. It was Star Trek Insurrection! Remember?"
Yes, I do. Good movie.

This was probably the first OP from you I really enjoyed.

OT: It will make 500 million worth of gold-pressed latinum. At least. Quark would approve, I won't.

Well, Star Trek 3 was terrible (my opinion) but I had no idea that Wrath of Khan grossed less than the original. Unacceptable!

Can I post like this on my 3DS? seems to work. @ calvin and hobbs that is too bad. i usually do one movie thread like this a month.

Yes, Ash, I know, but they are usually about Steven Seagal or that Belgian guy.

Thanks for the fun read.

I won't be running out to the cinema, will probably get it on blu-ray later. The plot synopsis doesn't sound all that interesting but eh, pretty lights, lots of spacey surround noises, why stop watching 'em now kinda thing.

Is this the first one in 3D? I guess it will make more money then.

i thought it was pretty good the star trek reboot,i've seen the next gen ones here and there and i watched the first 3 star treks pretty recently again and watching ST4 the voyage home next,i do enjoy the early star treks funny as hell

Plot synopsis with spoilers included or not?

J.J. Abrams wanted to keep people guessing until they saw the movie, and he did deliver IMO.

OT: Is Wrath of Khan worth a watch for someone that hasn't watched anything pre-2009 Star Trek? Or is it a direct sequel or something?

yes just start at the beginning and enjoy the hair, you wont regret it

Well it outlines the movie in general. I guess that's a spoiler.

it's been a long time since I have seen that one, but not it's not a sequel, more like a continuation or repercussion of an encounter in the original series. But you don't need to have watched the relevant episode for that. It's a great movie on it's own.

Ah here it is:

Yes, all of em, as well as box sets.

Ah the memories. Hmm looks pretty good actually, dammit, I don't need it. What have you done.

So far its of to a slow start both domestically and overseas unless it has crazy good long legs it will make a lot less money then the 2009 movie.
