Forums - General - Suicide occurred at my college Monday and its like it never happened.

Its a suicide.. There are protocols at work.. At the college where I work part time there are protocols not to discuss it before there is an investigation.. Being in a position with authority makes every word you say difficult.. I can't speculate what happen and must wait from a professional trained investigator to hear what happend.. ( parental problems, drugs, etc etc)

If i were to speculate what happend with my students I could be triggering suicidal thoughts within them by speculating the problems which could reflect their own problems..it could lead to more suicides..

I just don't understand that, i probably have more pressure than ever right now as my final A2 exams (crucial for which university i will go to) are coming in June but i'm so chilled as i don't just focus on that. I do other stuff, apart from focusing on exams and revising like gaming, going out etc but i try to balance it with my education. If it drives people to suicide then they should talk to someone about it

Xbox Series, PS5 and Switch (+ Many Retro Consoles)

Prediction: Switch 2 will outsell the PS5 by 2030

She dont deserve the attention. That is selfish of her. Not only has she probably ruined her families lives but some of the students that sore her hit the ground will never be the same again. I would go on as if it never happened aswell.

Is a sad story though.

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st

similar issue at my school about 2 months back, although it happened off school grounds and we held an assembly for kids in the same year level to confirm what happened. i hope your school at least did the same

This might sound slightly harsh to some, but I honestly mean no offense:

This was just silly of her in my opinion, she just wasted loads of money as well years of her life doing something (College) that she wasn't going to finish by killing herself in the final stretch.

Not only that, she also traumatized students that can't handle/have trouble handling hearing or seeing someone jump to their death.

She also gave someone the not so great job of having to clean her up, and the parents the sorrow of losing a child and having to deal with the funeral and things.

If she was going to kill herself she should have done it elsewhere and not by jumping.

Stress? At a community college? Wow.... she qould havenever made it to midterm in UCLA

tuition increase? Lol still cheaper than Illinois last i checked. I just paid 1500 for 3 classes for the summer

That's pretty sad, many of students here panic to death due to finals, and sometimes burn themselves. While others cheat and get the degree..
You described the scene so professionnaly that I got goose bumps..
