Forums - Gaming Discussion - Franchises exclusive to your console maker of choice that you dislike

Hmm, I'm not to fond of the Kirby games. I love Kirby as a character, I also can enjoy the crativity they have. But Kirby game rarely attract me personally, but I think they are great for kids and I don't wish for the franchise to go away whatsoever, but I think it is getting to much love from Nintendo meanwhile other franchises like Star Fox and Fzero gets nothing.

I don't really have a console maker of choice, I just go with whatever console I like best any given gen. Usually I'll buy the other systems as well

Anyway....

MS: They don't actually have enough for me to say I really dislike one. Fable 2 and 3 were both disappointing to me, but I still believe there's a lot of potential in that franchise.
Sony: Uncharted. I don't hate it, but I think it's massively overrated.
Nintendo: Zelda. I used to love Zelda games, but lately I'm just not feeling them anymore.

Not a fan of Journey, Flower, the Unfinished Swan...

I have had some bad experiences with Pokemon. I'll give "X" and "Y" a fair chance though.

I absolutely despised Xenoblade *Ducks knives*

Nintendo fan, obviously, but don't care for:

New Super Mario Bros.-They're just such lazy games. No effort to change the art-style, using the SAME music for 4 games is a CRIME, only adding new power-ups and just revamping the courses in the EXACT SAME world themes. LAZY! The first DS one was okay, and I even didn't mind NSMB2 on 3DS, but that's mostly because on a handheld system, where you pay less and generally have lower expectations, it's more acceptable. Plus on the handheld games the camera is zoomed in so it feels like there's MORE going on. Seriously, the Wii and Wii U games are so completely designed for the awful, rubbery/bouncy multiplayer that if you're playing alone it's just a big empty world of NOTHING! *ends rant*

Metroid-Never played or got into the old 2D games and I'm not a fan of FPS games except for multiplayer split-screen/online. REALLY hoping Retro is working on Star Fox or a NEW IP, even though a smaller part of me would be okay with it being Metroid just because it'd make other Nintendo fans happy. I'm already a happy-camper because I'm getting TWO Zelda games AND a spiritual successor to my favorite game of all-time, Xenoblade Chronicles! :D

Upcoming Games To Get

Definite: Kirby Star Allies (Switch), Mario Tennis Aces (Switch), Fire Emblem (Switch), Yoshi (Switch), Pokemon (Switch), Kingdom Hearts 3 (PS4), Monster Hunter World (PS4)

Considering: Fe (Switch), Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze (Switch), The World Ends With You (Switch), Ys VIII (Switch), Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition (PS4), Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Remix (PS4), The Last Guardian (PS4), Shadow of the Colossus HD (PS4), Anthem (PS4), Shenmue 3 (PS4), WiLD (PS4)

Most Mario games for Nintendo and for Sony nothing really besides maybe MBL because I absolutely hate baseball.

I'm a PS-guy and I'll go with:

- Killzone/Resistance/Socom/Warhawk/Starhawk ... I just dislike shooters. It has been a tough gen for me...

and

- Gran Turismo ... I have no interest in racing games - especially when they're realistic. Kart racers are ok though.

God of War. Even though I did like three.
