If thats the number then 3ds will surpass it this week (nov 16th) if 3ds doesn't get under 30k sold

The real question is when will 3DS surpass GBA in North America =P

Seems about right, I think its not going to happen, i think maybe 20mil lifetime for NoA for 3ds. At least 3ds looking good for japan+Europe compared to gba.

Whatever happens in the future, Youkai Watch is a part of Nintendo's history.  It's pretty much a phenomenom over there and whether it becomes a flash-in-the-pan or a long running series, either way, the success happened (or indeed, originated) on Nintendo platforms.

So I don't really see the problem.  Do we have to wait x years before the series could be added because it would be "historic" enough then?  If so, how many years is enough for it to be a part of history?  4 years was enough for Shulk.

That was early! Pokemanz is so frickin low for only being 7 days away. The SSBU-MK8 gap is still 5 points. Not much exciting here really.
