What? There's a Y's game coming out for PSV!? That's a reason I'll buy one.

With the update from kivi it should be understandable when i say the vita lineup is much more appealing to me than the 3ds one.
must-have-list for platforms i don't own yet:
WiiU: Donkey Kong
XBone: Dead Rising 3, Ryse
Samurai and dragons was confirmed for localisation some time ago.
And perhaps you should move AC and rayman (and sly collection?) into a probably/maby category just to avoid hate/confusion.
then you could also add (to that category) fifa 14, atelier meruru +, PSO2, Toukiden, mind=0, demon gaze, holy sorcery story and probably some more.

You have some good taste. XSEED announced it for september 25th in the US iirc.
If I ever do get a Vita my first batch of games will probably be
1. LBP
2. Super Stardust
3. Jak and Daxter
4. Killzone
5. Rayman Legends
6. Whatever's on PS+
I would like to point out that a large number of those games I either already have on other systems or could get on other systems. Take those away, remove the shovel ware, and we're not left with too much.
Games can and should tell stories and share ideas through their mechanics. This is the intrinsic element of the medium and this is how experiences should be crafted in video games. No company does this as well as Nintendo and their echoes from the past.

All console/handheld releases are filled with 80% shovelware. Every Year we are usually only left with 3-8 games that are considered "AAA" quality. For Vita this year that will be TearAway, Soul Sacrifice, Killzone: Mercenary, Ys, Gaucamelee, Sly 4. And just because something is available on console doesn't mean it isn't viable on handheld. It is an entirely different arena. There are many things I would never touch on console but would gladly play on the go. Part of the Vita's functionality is console quality on the go, with added benefit to those who have PS3/4 and Vita. Sly for instance has a really cool feature that takes advantage of that.
I would suggest take some time looking up these Vita titles(or stay tuned for when I update full info on them) to see that they have a lot more to offer than what meets the eye. In comparison to 3DS, Nintendo's lineup is only better because of brand recognition but it actually has less releases. The Vita's lineup is full of unknown devs/titles so they get overlooked yet just as much quality.
