Buy a plasma. Buy a plasma. Buy a plasma.

As someone who DIDN'T buy a plasma 3 years ago when I spent a shit ton on a TV, I can tell you for certain that you SHOULD buy a plasma.

Do it.

It's bigger, cheaper, looks BETTER and the refresh rate is just higher.

No more burn in. No worrying about the half-life of the tv. Just...

buy a plasma.

isn't plasma worst on energy, and gives off a worst picture then LED? I never did like plasma from the beginning.

Plasma's are known for more accurate picture and deeper blacks. LED's are super bright and make you feel like the sun just came into your tv room. LED's are therefore better for brightly lit rooms and have less glare. If you are going to put this in basement Plasmas are going to be fine.

Yes they do use more energy than LCD/LED tv's.

This will be for my living room, and there can be a lot of light in the afternoons and evenings.

You're going to pay a lot more for the same thing. But if you want to watch in a brightly lit room then sure.

newegg usually have the best prices for LG brand.

Man, tvs are so cheap now. I think I saw 50' LED 1080 p samsung for 599.99 not even on sale. So if you managed to pick that up boxing day. You're lookin' at a sweet deal. You can get Tvs for so cheap, it's worth waiting for sales.

TVs will be even cheaper as early as this September, which is when the power of technology doubles at the latest each & every year.

They have a 18 month deadline to double the quality of technology, but they always do it within 10 to 16 months and no later then September of each and every single year.

The mark up value is still increasing every year but the prices keep getting cut each year too.

15 MB a second Home Wi-Fi is only $9.99¢ now, and will probably get cut again in 2015 from $10 to $5.

Its win, win.

I should mention that the VIZIO Smart LCD 3D HD TVs have almost just as many deep levels of black as LED TVs do.

Try summoning disolitude, he can be more helpful than most of us.

As a general rule, if you have the budget and space at home, get a Panasonic plasma.

I would actually advice: If you have the budget and space at home, get any TV and also get a good audio system.. the sound coming out of TVs these days is horrible..

This. In the quest for thinner tv's with better pictures, audio has suffered because the speakers have to be thinner too. Most tv's nowadays only have 2 ten watt speakers. My sound system puts out 850 watts Over 5.1

How do you explain the Sprint Sanyo SCP 8400 speakerphone, which is from 2006?

^^^^ Don't know much about this product, audio on phones are a primary concern when designing them. I mean Most laptops and Tvs have mediocre audio as the quality components go elsewhere. I've heard better audio from some phones than certain laptops . Test it for yourself . Older Crt TVs had better audio as they weren't cramped for space and as a result the audio is broader and deeper. Most Tvs nowadays arhave very limited audio. Why do you think sound bars are popular ?

I understand why TVs today have sound bars.

I don't understand why they can't use such old/cheap thin technology where one speaker is like virtual surround sound for putting 2 of these kind of Speakerphones on TVs.

My discontinued Cell Phone is as loud as a boom box, and that's just 1 speakerphone the size of a dime but a somewhat thicker then a coin, and it is very cheap in this day & age.

It seems like lazy engineers or something. It's like they only fucos on the screen a little bit and don't really fucos on e rest at all for a modern TV sporting something like HD.

This is currently the single best reviewed TV on CNET. This is their ONLY five-star reviewed TV, and it just came out this year.

You can buy the 50 inch size on Amazon for a cool grand. This is the TV I want to buy whenever I buy another TV. It even has a screen filter to reduce bright room reflections, so you won't have to worry about that too much. But if you feel your room is too bright, then perhaps plasma isn't your best option. For everyone else, this is the best it will get with picture quality until OLED becomes affordable.

I don't know why people tell me to get a life. I'm a gamer, I have lots of lives!
