Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Load of games coming this holiday for Wii U. Should be epic. (rumored titles ADDED)

Here comes the "Nintendo stikes back" movie.

People didnt get the picture when they showed it with the 3DS.

Ok Here is a list of games I know are coming Q4 or are rumored based on other leaks.

First party:
ZeldaWWHD
Smash Bros U
Wii Fit U
Bayonetta 2
Yarn Yoshi
Xenoblade Wii U
Shin-megami tensei & fire emblem cross over
Mario Kart U

Third Party
AC Black Flag
Watch_Dogs
Batman AO
Project CARS
COD something
and many more....

I don't believe for a second that Smash Bros., 'X', or Bayonetta 2 are coming out this year.

No way are all of those Q4, especially Smash.

a request to the OP, in the list of the games could you add which ones are confirmed, which ones are leaked and which ones are rumored?

Somehow the SUPER SECRET part annihilates all credibility for me.

But really, that list is just ridiculous. Even if the games were ready there is no way all of that stuff is coming out this year, leaving the first half of 2014 to look exactly like the first half of 2013. Mario Kart is a given for the holidays, though, since it's supposed to be playable at E3. That and Smash would be plenty.

It doesn't really say that in the article. Really, its just wishful thinking.

Everyone knows there's 1 or 2 big Nintendo IP coming this holiday. NOW is what people are worried about.

Did you read the quote? He's specifically saying that he is hearing from sources that their holiday will be big. This is from a writer who is notoriously anti-WiiU.

I did read it and I don't see how that quote translates into "Loads of games coming this holiday for wii u". I saw that edit you made and if you expect Smash Bros, Zelda, Bayonetta, Mario Kart...etc all in 1 holiday, expect to be disappointed. There's no way all these games are coming at the same time. Nintendo wouldn't be that stupid.

This stratagy isn't fool proof. The gamecube had some of Nintendo's best support and it only sold 20 million. What Nintendo really needs is the competition to screw up.

These titles look far better than anything Nintendo had for Gamecube. The few great games Gamecube had even had a very niche appeal.

Nintendo doesn't need to worry about competition. Look at the Wii. They hold their fate in their own hands. They can get it right (NES/Wii), or very wrong (N64/Gamecube). Just depends on how stubborn they decide to be in creating games that appeal to a mass market audience.

This. 'Super Secret' is a phrase that goes along with 'Treehouse Base' and 'No Parents Allowed'.

Hypothetically though, it would probably be a mistake to release all their big console-sellers at once, or they'll steal eachothers' thunder. Spread things out over 2014 too.

With the Wii it was the system itself that caused the sales, not the games. Plus if Sony didn't screw up and had just made a PS2-2 the Wii wouldn't have had at all as much success. In my opinions the GameCube games were far better than the Wii ones. Melee, Sunshine, Starfox, Luigi's Mansion, etc.
