I would like to thank Nintendo today. I sold my stock I bought in February netting a $300 profit on principle. I consider a 20% gain on two month investment as good deal.

Congrats. Plus you get a dividend ;)

I didn't think Nintendo was giving a dividend this year since their #'s weren't good. I thought that was announced at the last shareholders meeting.

BTW I have put in $24,000 over the course of the last year ranging from 12.44 to 18.81 and everything in-between. Today's jump was very nice. I'm only around $500 in the hole now. I really wish I would have waited until it hit rock bottom at around $12/share and bought everything then, but at the time I thought $18 was rock bottom. Oh well, I still am confident I can make a good $5,000 to $10,000 return by summer 2014 sometime. The price would only have to get to around $19/share for my investment to reach $30,000. That would be a $6,000 profit. I would be happy with that. It would allow me to pay off my house. I'm silently hoping it will get up to around $25/share by then. I think it can get there once Mario, Mario Kart, and who knows what other heavy hitters come out for the WiiU later this year. Plus Nintendo's profit margin's on each system sold will only get better from here on out and the weak yen is looking great. I think even with a small price drop this holiday season on the Wii U and 3DS Nintendo will still be getting a good profit on the 3DS, and they will start making money on each WiiU sold around that time or maybe early 2014. Plus new Pokemon and Monster Hunter 4 = huge sales for 3DS hardware and software. Anyone else think it can get to the mid 20's by the middle of next year?

Yup we do get a dividend of 100 yen per share - NTDOY is 1 of 8

Nintendo should do good numbers this year. Their software line-up for 3DS is impressive to say the least. If Nintendo is able to revitalize the Wii U, maintain 3DS strong momemtum, and the yen to their advantage, I would envision Nintendo to be at 20$ by year-end. I ain't selling yet. I got 10k in them and believe they will be able to achieve the 1 Billion Yen profit.

Wait, I have 100 shares as well, got then last month, made 150....are you saying I will get another 100 on top of that???

lol no 100 yen is 1 US Dollar. So if you have 100 shares, you will receive 12.50$ if you have had the shares prior to March 31st! And to answer your question, it is up to you. I'm in a long position for Nintendo, I expect up and downs with this stock. If you are looking for a quick buck, today would be the right time to sell or tomorrow.

If you owned your shares on March 31, you will get 100 yen per each share owned.  That's yen, not US$.

The current yen to dollar is 99.71

I am also in for a long haul with Nintendo, till Christmas at least. Though I may sell and re-buy if I think there might be another up and down. I could have made major cash if I sold in November and bought again in February. I think it will need to be at least $17.50 per share before I consider selling though.

Why is it 12.50? Do I not get 1 dividend payout per share?

A NTDOY stock is worth one eigth of the Japanese stock.

Aprox $13.90.  I picked them up at different prices, mostly at $13.09 but some at $18 as the stock was falling.

I imagine we'd be looking at quite a different picture had Wonderful 101 and Pikmin 3 arrived in the launch window like they were supposed to.

To be honest -- I don't think so. Not in terms of overall hardware sales. These aren't the types of games that move a lot of hardware, they would make existing Wii U owners happier though because they'd have something else to play.
