Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Lego City Undercover 59.99$ on the eShop? What is this sorcery? UPDATE: Nintendo misprice

Why is the eShop download of Lego City 59.99 when all retailers have it listed for 49.99? Is this a misprice or is there extra content with the digital version?

Oh also its only 19GB, unless the patch is 2-3 gigs

UPDATE: Nintendo had mispriced the game at initial launch and is refunding 12$ to each customer who overpaid, via eShop points or refund on credit card. Good to see them respond so quickly. Also, I got 60$ worth of credit toward the digital distribution for a 50$ game! Thanks to Nintendo for fixing this so swiftly.

Dont buy off the eShop, just get the retail copy!(wat a rip off there is no point in getting it downloaded

Well I'm already downloading it cause that's what I got the External HDD for, its not that big of a deal for me though, I was just curious if this was intentional or was this a misprice on the eShop?

Anybody have any info about the price structure?

Probably just human error.

Nintendo in general prices stuff on the e-shop way to high, so I suggest you get the retail version (unless you want the game a day before the rest)

Well its actually ony 5 bucks more with the digital promotion that Nintendo offers so I'm not that worried about it, but I'm really hoping it's just a misprice for the midnight launch and Ill get my points back.

I'm not sure, but as you say it might be a misprice, since the game is supposed to launch tomorrow. You just have to wait I suppose :p

Either way, i just wanted do start downloading it tonight so it will be ready for me in the morning.

Night all, you should be enjoying some Lego City in the morning of you know whats good for you lol.

It's your chance to be among the special few that get to pay $10 more. Don't miss out before the price fix!

Nintendo waaaay overprices their eshop games. I was browsing their 3DS eshop, and half of the full retail games they were selling DIGITALLY I could purchase new from amazon for at least $10 less for a hard copy. There's something very wrong with that picture. If anything, that needs to be reversed.
