Zelda and stuff is more core than CoD cause that is a casual twitch shooter.
People need to think and have respect.Nintendo has its core titles.

I hate the terminology. But yes, many people who play on Nintendo systems or games are "core". I would say most are. Nintendo really started "core" gaming decades ago with titles like Zelda, SMB, Metroid and so on. I call gamers casual if they are only into COD, WiiSports, maybe some GTA, a party game or some dabbling in NSMB or MarioKart and maybe the latest EA Sports title. Core gamers will often play those, but play them more, and will get into lots of other titles and genres like RPG and adventure. Casual gamers will just play a few titles that they can pick up and play with their friends, or something that gets lots of mainstream press like GTA or WiiSports.

After taking a look at the very low Wii U sales numbers of Batman,AC ,ME3 or COD=NO.
Four AAA games combined cannot sell half as many units on Wii U as a single shovelware Nintendoland or an recycled old New Mario.
Considering that those games are still selling bad though there is almost no software support for the Wii U=NONO

As many Nintendo games afford skill to be finished(easy to learn,hard to master)there should be lot of coregamers(25-30%),but it seems only 5-10% are interessted in buying games that are not produced or exclusived by Nintendo.
The rest only seem to care about Non-Nintendogames when they are delayed or EA games that are not released on Wii U.
Than even such an ingnored IP like rayman that sold on vita more than on 3ds and on jump'n'run console Wii less than on ps360,becomes a martyr and a must have game.

Low preorders,average rating until now,pretty much unknown and not really interessting-but even this game will sell 2x more units than AC,BM,COD and ME3 combined(until the end of the year)

Metroid/Zelda fans - yes. Mario Kart, NSMB fans - not really but they can act core for a while. Wii Sports, Wii Fit, Just Dance fans - No.

I don't consider anyone "core gamers."

What kind of true RPG fan would ignore XenoBlade Chronicles? What kind of true FPS fan would ignore Metroid Prime? What kind of Action/Adventure fan would ignore Zelda? Nintendo has some of the best games out there, and only the really hardcore gamers own a Wii (maybe just as a secondary console) to play the few, but excellent Nintendo exclusives.

However the people who only have a Nintendo platform, I don't consider them core gamers. You can't ignore all the multiplatform and exclusive games available on the PS3/360. You need at least 1 HD system.
