This writer sounds butt hurt that people don't agree with him. It's very similar to the type of responses we get in doom threads from fanboys.
I agree that Microsoft isn't dying but his article sucks.
No one thinks MS is dying. They are just not as important as they used to be. Apple, Google, Samsung are getting the headlines they used to have. The only MS product i cant live without is Office.

I think this thread is more targeted to Apple, Google, and other tech companies not Sony who pose no real threat to MS.
Now, I don't think MS are dying, and I think anyone suggesting that right now is a bit silly but...
3. Windows Phone 8 isn't a joke, it has doubled its sales and will quickly surpass BlackBerry (BBRY) to become the third major player in the smartphone market.
This being the same blackberry who's current Z10 handset is it's last chance before going out of business? If you were talking about the Blackberry of 2008... maybe that'd be big news :P

Which apple or Samsung products can't you live without?
If anyone thinks that microsoft will go soon, they must be mad. They got way to much money and stuff ready to be sold.

the irony here is that you listed 2 products in the exact same consumer category which you can substitute one for another pretty much not notice the difference. Yet you can't live without both?
You may not need their products but many products you use need Microsofts products. You like using the iCloud on your ipad? Welcome to Microsoft Azure...

This isnt even about games? At least read the article. Games is a very small part of Microsoft.

I have both, I love both. I spend more time using them than my laptop. MS is figting to stay relevant not to dominate.
