Forums - Sony - Update Official specs released already ! - Lets Speculate : Based on this Trailer, I can say the GPU and CPU as well as the price of the PS4 is ....

This , watch it in 1080P

I say with that seen, Its obviously 8 GB RAM (as they said) , and the GPU is around the equivalent to NVidia's 560 - 580 GTX , its a bit faster than the 550 TI due to the frame rate on the video, it looks kind of like Max Payne 3 on high settings, which can actually be run on an GTX 550,  but the character models aren't as textured, though the focus on this trailer and gameplay was on partical effects, not textures, the CPU is probably equivalent of a 2~ Ghz i7 model.

these specs are if you match them with PC tech, its the "Consumer" end prices, so I am betting the PS4 would be

$120 (GPU) + 230 (CPU) + ????  = $400

based on the other video by InFamous, it seems even more lower res, so it makes it look like a 560 GPU.

AMD, bro. It's an AMD CPU and GPU, not Nvidia GPU and Intel CPU

thats why I said  equivalent , I haven't used an AMD in a while.

Neither have I lol. Well I use their graphics. I have a 6850. Based on 1.8 TFLOPS of performance, GPU is an HD7850 which is very, very good. 1024 Streamers, 64 Texture Units, and 32 Output units.

Plus High speed bluray
Plus super fast wifi card
Plus casing
Plus power supply
Plus cabling
Plus hard drive
Plus assembly
Plus boxing
Plus shipping
Plus retailer cut
Plus swagger
Plus Motherboard
Plus RAM

in order:
35 + 8 + 9 + 22 + 5 + 25 + 8 + 4 + 4 + 50 + $$$ + 70 + 50
Wholesale on those cpugpu probably 160 for the apu. +160

450!

But likely 499 with a loss

Single-chip custom processor
CPU : x86-64 AMD “Jaguar”, 8 cores
GPU : 1.84 TFLOPS, AMD next-generation Radeon™ based
graphics engine
GDDR5 8GB

Subtract retail margin, packaging and casing for the CPU and GPU.

I'm thinking $500 to make, $400 to sell.

Not next generation, because there isn't one.

They probably simply mean Graphics Core Next since AMD still sells VLIW5 based chips. GCN is their next-gen GPU architecture, and with the PS4 having a modified 7850, it has a GCN GPU

I'm thinking its going to be lower priced actually, not high priced, Bluray became cheaper, RAM is cheap, and will be intergrated of course, Casing is all plastic dirt cheap, they MIGHT sell it at a loss, but minimal loss.
