I haven't pre-ordered a game since the original Assassin's Creed back in 07....

I find that most games have a price drop within the first two weeks on Amazon. Or if it's a shorter game that doesn't have a lot of replayability I'll gamefly it or borrow from a friend. I'm cheap....

Currently own:

  • Ps4

Currently playing: Witcher 3, Walking Dead S1/2, GTA5, Dying Light, Tomb Raider Remaster, MGS Ground Zeros

Dead Space (X360)
Aliens Colonial Marines Collectors Edition (X360)
Aliens colonial Marines Limited Edition (WiiU)
Luigi's Mansion (3DS)
Lego City (WiiU)
Pikmin 3 (WiiU)
Rayman Legends (WiiU)

Most games announced on the Nintendo Direct will be pre-ordered as soon as possible.

That's a rather uneducated article.

First of all, not every retailer demand 5$ for a pre-order. If anything here in Canada every pre-order are 5$ off or 10$-20$ in-store credit if you're part of the Reward Zone (which is free and really easy to adhere) at Best Buy.

Second, there are so many pre-order deals out there. I currently have games like God of War: Ascension, Grand Theft Auto V, The Last Of Us, Beyond: Two Souls, South Park: The Stick of Truth, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, etc. pre-ordered for 30$....I have Luigi's Mansion pre-ordered for 15$. I had The Walking Dead on PS3 pre-ordered for 5$ at Best Buy.

You can save massive amount of money by pre-ordering. Every gamer here should learn to make to most of their money because the secret lies in pre-ordering. That is if you really want a game day one.

The Last of Us for PS3 and Bioshock Infinite for PC. Maybe something i forgot and it will arrive anytime lol

I decided to buy only very few games at release from now on (or already the last half year or so) because i see no reason to pay that much when i can get the games few weeks later for much less but i got both very cheap with a bonus code and some other discounts and The Last of Us has to be mine day one. Other games i will still buy day one are games i buy for multiplayer and maybe Gears Judgement for co-op.

And you can always cancel a pre-order at no cost. Buy now, think later.

I've never put down a deposit for a pre-order.

In fact I got 10% off most of my pre-orders so for me it made sense to pre-order.

I only do preorders that demand no prepayment. Almost guaranteed to get a copy on release day and can be canceled or ignored with no downside whatsoever. Any retailer who is demanding a prepayment is ripping you off.

That is because you told us all last year that you were saving up for a Wii U. You would not buy anything because you were saving up on a Wii U. Then you went and bought whatever it was you bought. Because you "Spilled choclate Milk" on your old laptop. I think you did it on purpose.

Now you are broke again. Get a bunch of "A"'s this semester and your parents will give you 50 dollars an A like my Father used to. Then you will be on your way again.

Except it wasn't chocolate milk and I didn't mean to...

It was water and boy was I mad it when it happened. (My MacBook is working again, anyway.)

I got 3 A's on my Semester Grade. That equals 30 dollars. That'll be going towards Animal Crossing.
