What? There's a Capitalism 2 sequel? Bought!
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
Title: X3 (and its associated expansions)
Developer: Egosoft
Genre / Type of game: Space Simulation
Why I like this game:
Do you remeber old space games like Privateer, Wing Commander, Tie Fighter, or Homeworld? This trumps them all. Its the true heir to all such games. It is a simulation of a space-based economy and world, as well as various wars and battles.
The game scales incredibly well. You start with a few hundred credits, and a basic ship. From there, how you earn money is up to you. Combat, trade, and industry are ways you can earn money, as you ascend to become more important than other empires. You go from scout craft that are incredibly small, quick, and pack no punch, up to collossal battleships filled with massive arrays of weaponry, and everything in between. You can do pretty much whatever you want, and that's the beauty.
There is a huge mod community, and the last (and probably final) mod is incredible, called XTM 2.0. It creates a brand new game world with more ships to fly.
Right now, I control about 3 dozen ships, from traders and fightes, to corvettes and carriers - my empire is worth probably 500 million credits now, and I can grow so much more. Its very fun.
Price: $29.99 for the complete pack with all expansions (and you really want/need expansions - at least Terran Conflict, anyways)

Title: Gunbound
Developer: Softnyx
Genre / Type of game: Turn based tank shooter..
Why i like this game: Great art, great music, played this game years ago and it recently reopened.
Price: Free 2 Play, Cosmetics
Title: Hard Reset
Developer: Flying wild Hog
Genre / Type of game: FPS
Why i like this game:
First, awesome graphics, colourful far away from brown grey, in a cyberpunk set.
Second, Gameplay : Oldskul, ala doom, without regen health, it's pickup health. You have two guns, an electric gun and a projectile base one. All along the game, you can upgrade them, unlock other modes of your two guns. Enemies are deadly fast robots who will kick the hell out of you if you're not careful.
Third, Difficulty : the game is quite difficult, even at low levels. There's a lot of enemies, a lot to shoot at, and the 'let's be a pussy I shoot from cover' tactics does not work at all.
Fourth : Lots of contents, the game with its free expansion, is quite long.
Price: 10ish bucks/pounds/euro/brouzouf
Where to buy: Steam ofc.
Title: Hotline Miami
Developer: Denation Games
Genre / Type of game: Twinstick Topdown Disembowlment/Shooter
Why i like this game: Fast, unforgivable, highly difficult. Prepare to die more than Dark souls... Basically, you're a killer who receive call from a mysterious organisation. You head to a place, and kill people, till you're the last man standing. A huge arsenal of bats, pipes, hammer, knifes, bricks, guns is at your disposal to kill , kill, and kill more. No life bar, no regen, one hit and you're dead. Graphically, looks like an early SNES/GBA title, it has some graphic bugs, but it's an awesome experience
Price: 10ish bucks/pounds/euro/brouzouf
Where to buy: Steam ofc.

Don't know about the U.S version, but the Latin America version is full of hackers. I mean that thing is impossible to play without finding someone who uses cheats. I stop playing it because of that, It's very annoying. Also if you buy items with real money you're pretty much overpowered.
Anyway:
Title: Torchlight II
Developer: Runic Games
Genre: Action RPG (Dungeon Crawler)
Why I like this game: if you are fan of the Diablo games then you most play this one. Great gameplay with fast paced combat, lot's of weapons to choice from, great RPG elements, etc. The boss battles are really great with a lot of strategy involved, you can't simple attack at will, you must be prepared for all kinds of situations, something I honestly really appreciate in games. It has a decent amount of depth, but it's not hard to learn, so this is probably the best game to start with the genre (even more than Diablo imo).
Price: $15 on Steam
Nintendo and PC gamer
