Suppose you are banned but the reason given was extrordairily vague (IE "trolling") and it is not immediatly obvious which post was overboard. Is there anyway to find out which mod did the banning and ask them directly? Do mods give each other a more detailed explanation of why a user was banned (I believe they don't)?

It seems to me that without the ability to find out why you are banned then posters are unlikely to improve. While most bans are justified and anyone can easily figure out why there are exceptions. Occasionally some popular users get banned for trolling which sometimes would be justified, but other times seem to come out of the blue leaving everyone wondering why it happened.

Which mod to ask though? That is the problem here. Comments from one mod lead me to believe they don't have a place to post who was banned and why that the rest of us can't see. More than once I have seen a mod comment that they don't know why so and so was banned. How can you learn what not to do if it is never clearly explained?

Do the mods have a private lobby where they talk about ban's new rules and function and how stupid some members are?

I remember another forum had that.

Just kidding; I think a private admin ban comment is needed and must be linked to the offending post(s).

The mods do not talk to each other about bans, and each mod will ban for reasons other mods would not ban for. Plus if your account is banned, your best bet is to just make another account and send a PM to each mod and ask if they banned you and what for, and say that you will not post with this new account because you respect them, and just wish to find out who banned you and what for.

 If there is another thread on this then sorry for the duplicate. I looked around and haven't seen anything posted about it other than the fact that you seem confused. It bothers me a lot that you can't seem to get some answers. I really think the system should tell you which post got you banned, or which collection of posts. We have a lot of good mods but everyone makes mistakes. Eventually someone won't be detailed enough and the desired result of a ban won't be met.

Mods make up stupid reasons for bans too, i was looking over banned accounts and one said the guy was a loser or something and that was it, or there is always kwaad's whose said, "just leave already" or something
