People still think Xbox 1 was last place.....it beat gamecube.

But offcourse I have. It was a beast of a console. That was when hardware specs didn't matter. Now they do apparently. Wonder what changed ;)

Xbox 1 deserved to be #1. PS2 sucked compared to it. It had alot of awesome exclusives. And a way better online service.

I actually had no idea at the time that ps2 was so much more popular, I guess the thought had never crossed my mind then.

I played Halo a few times with friends, only reason I knew of it.

It was the second best console I have owned, right after 360 and before PS2.

I knew about it and played it some. It was a clunky device. Controllers were awkward.

Neither controller was clunky in my opinion.  The original "Duke" nor the "S-Controller".  In fact, the S-Controller and the Xbox 360 Controller are virtually the same.  The major difference between the two are the Xbox 360 controller is slightly larger, uses two shoulder buttons rather than the White and Black button, and the Xbox 360 controller has the guide button.

I can remember thinking the Xbox logo on the controller should be doing something, like turn the console on or off.  Thought the guide button was the most impressive feature added to a console.  The ability to turn the damn thing on and off remotely.

lol @ Xbox being better than PS2.

Yes - I was involved (sound) in development of a tech demo for game for it - it never took off unfortunately.

I knew about the Xbox in 2002 I believe... I was still quite young. I was in the fourth grade, and my friend's older brother owned one. We played Halo: Combat Evolved and I was blown away.

The Xbox was the first console that included a HDD to allow for game saves, downloaded games, game content (DLC), ripped music, and game updates.

The Xbox was the first console that allowed users to stream content from the PC to the console with a supported application (there was also an unsupported application that allowed video streaming). This was expanded in the Xbox 360 to include video streaming from the PC.

The Xbox was the first console that allowed users to purchase games via digital distribution. The Xbox LIVE Arcade was first introduced with the Xbox. Some of those original games were ported to the Xbox 360.

Of course. Jade Empire! KotoR! HALO! Loved all those games (played them on PC though)

Of course, I had the original Xbox and played the crap out of it! xD
