According to this german video games website Aliens: Colonial Marines on the WiiU won't be released alongside the PS3/Xbox360 versions. Gearbox insists the release date always only was for the PS3/Xbox360 versions, so technically it is not a delay.

While many ports of other games released later on the WiiU due to short development times or a release before the release of the WiiU itself none of these reasons apply to Aliens:CM (It was announced at the E3 2011 !). What do you think is the reason for this delay? Discuss^^

Grrr...this is disappointing. I'm looking forward to this game especially on Wii U, if it's true that the GamePad will function as a motion tracker a la Aliens. I might have to invest in two copies of this game -- one for Xbox and one for Wii U.

Maybe the delay has to do with the extra functions the GamePad allows?

I don't think so, the development time this game has had should be sufficent to include these features in time. Oh well, shouldn't this game be released in 2008 originally? Some bad case of vaporware here^^

i thought that was obvious when u went online to a gaemstore and the WiiU version was the only one without a release date or the special edition version lol.
