Now, your drive could be increasing the chances for the issue as it adds another layer of latency and connectivity. Meaning, the issue is not 100% fixed just really really minor now, but network and other connected items could make it more apparent for some users.

btw, even the gaf thread on this topic has died off almost completely as very few people still have any form of lock-ups. Its growing pains of a new system. Its gotten better already and will be gone eventually.


works fine on y Y 3.0 USB cable no lock ups on my 750GB Toshiba Canvio so far...keeps fingers crossed.

C'mon we all know what Galaki meant/implying you guys are not that dim. What does dust have to do with the hard drive anyways?  For any matter everything gathers dust so no need to mention it unless you would like to troll!!!

well it turns on the fan or some magic dust repellent that keeps dust away from the system when you play it!!! (smart ass statments deserve smart ass responses)

I had a couple lockups before the December updqte, but havn't had any since. I have a Seagate GoFlex Desk and it's powered of its own supply.

Have you updated it completely? I've had zero since the December update and its played daily.... a lot on weekends.
