Only second and third option actually make any sense. They should preferably cut the price to $179, give a 4GB memory card and 3 months of PS+. It's just stupid to give away a year, 4 GB card will convince people to buy a bigger one, while actually allowing them to use a bit of PS+. The price would also be low enough to draw some attention.
The bottom line though is that the best thing they can do to sell the Vita is throw the money they'd lose by cutting the price at 3rd party developers with big games to make exclusive Vita games. It's about games, games, games. Not the price. So doing this and cutting the price just to $199 with 4GB card and 3 months of PS+ (they should go heavy on PS+!) would be enough.
And yeah, I'm not used to paying full price for a handheld game. I think they are a bit too expensive. Even if the game is as big as a home console game, paying the same money for a handheld game just feels wrong. They have to acknowledge that. It would be best if the cut the price of games in PS Store, since they would get part of the back in memory cards anyway.
Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!
