Forums - Movies & TV - Your Top 50 Movies: 2013 Discussion Thread- Final Day!

No it doesn't feature any live action shots.  Don't have any live action and animation hybrid movies on my list if one would have made it, it would have been Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

Not it either its a traditionally animated movie.  Also only one Pixar movie made the list.  Never seen WALL-E probably will watch it when it ends up back on Netflix.

I now wish I had a convenient list of every movie I've ever watched somewhere, or at least the good ones.

I looked through all the movies I bought over the years, pretty good indication that I like them.
Yet that's over 600 at least, laserdiscs, dvds, hd-dvd, blu-ray. I miss the beautiful artwork of laserdisc box sets :/
I managed to get it down to 121 favorites so far, now I 'only' need to sort them....

@Ryan The cage swinging scene in Time bandits is a classic, I've seen it replicated in an adventure game at least once. Can't remember at the moment which one. Still the movie didn't make my short list, the beginning is rather weak imo. Terry Gilliam is pretty well represented in my top 121 anyway.

Ok, narrowed it down to 50 finally and nr 50 is

50. 1492 Conquest of paradise, 1992, Ridley Scott

First time I saw this was on VHS and had no revervations buying the laserdisc later.
A great movie with a great score. A very well told story of the discovery of the Americas, the motives, the hopes and dreams and ultimately the reality. With awesome cinematography to back it all up, it is near the top of my list of most wanted blu-ray releases.

I suppose my next one will feature a boy with round glasses

One of the Harry Potter movies.

Chris Hu, is it The black cauldron?
That's the only traditionally animated Disney movie that made my short list, didn't make top 50 though.

Am I the only one who just picks randomly as he goes? Lulz. Or almost

Somewhat used imdb's top 250 as a guide.  Also looked over my movie collection.  Seven movies that I don't own made my top 50.

No not it either not from the 80s.  The Great Mouse Detective would probably be my favorite Disney animated movie from the 80s.

You would probably have a easy time guessing the only anime movie that made my list.  Its made by Studio Ghibli but not directed by Hayao Miyazaki.  Also I'm guessing that Princess Mononoke will make your top 50 going by your avatar.

The great Mouse detective is my top traditional animated movie. Need to make sure it makes my list somehow.

Probably would have made my list if it was a top 100 list.
