I went to Best Buy today looking for a Wii just for fun and kicks, in reality I was looking for whatever worth of a bargain games they might have for PS2 or DS. While looking around I noticed a bunch of PS3 40GBs, only 1 80GB. Didn't see Premium or Elite 360s but I did see 4 Arcades. I asked the clerk person if they had Wiis and he said no. Then he tried to sell me a PS3 and I cracked up cuz I told him I rather get a 360. Then he insisted that PS3 is better. I laughed again cuz I can't believe how retail stores let their employees be biased. If I were the manager there I'd fired his butt. But ya, that's a side story :)

I bought two Wii this week so let me tell you how that went...
I was off work Monday, so I checked every store in the city where I live and there were 0 Wiis to be had.
I work in Toronto, close to 6 electronics stores, so I checked them all, and zip of course. However EB said they were expecting some later and BestBuy said they'd get 80-100 Friday.
So I did nab one at EB (one of the last 5) at lunch that day. Then someone heard I'd gotten one... It was too late for EB for them so I'd told them I'd get one from BB if I could Friday.
Went as soon as BB opened. I was already #36 (they were handing out Wii tickets). At the rate they were going, they'd have cleared out their 80+ stock in less than 20 minutes.

As for PS3/360 I know stores had them both in stock but couldn't tell you which models or how much.

I've been to all of my local game store, and I've seen XBOX 360 at every Gamestop, BB, and my one circuit city and target (mostly arcades, but I've seen plenty of pros, and a few elites). So I have no idea where they say they have no supply, cuz I could buy ten if I wanted to, and had 3500 bucks (Thank god for delaware's tax free shopping)

In Fort Wayne, IN (around 300,000 people)...
Walmart, Meijer, & Best Buy were sold out of Wii's, PS3's, & 360's....everything (except Best Buy, see note below). Only thing on the shelfs were ps2's & psp's.

Note:  Best Buy had 2 40 GB PS3's & 3 360 arcades, the others had nothing.

(I was out looking for a Wii for my nephew...promised him one for Christmas...aren't I a great Uncle?)

Here in the Netherlands I noticed fast PS3 sales but also fast restocks, slow 360 sales and interested customers being told to buy Wii's as fast as possible because they 'sell out quickly', some shops carry signs 'sold out, pre-order now' (but also some online stores like otto.nl have them in stock, 24 hour delivery at time of writing).

Ratchet & Clank moved back up to spot 3 on the PS3 charts probably indicating the new Uncharted / R&C bundles are selling well.

Gamestop BB and mostly going to rent and buy through Gamefly Just beat devil may cry 4 and they game me a buy now on the game of about $45.00 used for such a new release thats a good deal.

Still I pay them $30.00 a month for up to 3 rentals out at a time! which for me with 2 360's ,1 PS3, 1 Wii ,2 ds's ,2 psp. and alot of other older systems this is the only way to stay in the game!

Way less then I was spending before! Probably around $ 250-500 per month!

what a hobby!

Here in Mexico, No More Heroes is quite a rare game. Other day I saw a copy at some store. It was the only copy they had. It was sold and they haven't gotten any more. And there was the only place where they had it.

As usual, lack of Wii stock and tons of 360s everywhere.

The RRP (Recommended Retail Price) for Wii's in the UK is £249.99. In my local GAME they were selling Wii + Super Mario Galaxy + Metroid Prime 3 for £239.99. It is fair to say that Wii's are not out of stock here in the UK.

The 40GB PS3 however is selling at full RRP (£299.99) in GAME.

Situation in Russia:
In gamestores I saw PS3(40Gb), no one 60Gb or starter pack(though it's very good offer), some XB360 and PS2 and in amount PSP, in Russia DS practically no sales! Wii was only in electronics store, no in gamestore!
About games many games for all consoles except PS3 popular games, and certainly in Russia many games comes later then in another world, especially on Russian, but I hope this situation will change.
Now the most popular game on PS3 is Assasin, and Fifa08!

Wrong, the RRP for Wii's in the UK is £179.99. Although they're selling at Amazon for £230.

I can see how you'd be confused since they're usually selling for way over the RRP.
