2 investors meetings have passed by and still, no new announcements. Not even multiplatform games are getting a Wii U version in Japan.

Looking at the upcoming 3rd party schedule we got a year old+ 3DS port coming to all HD platforms and 3 western localizations. Besides that there's nothing else and there probably won't be for a very, very long time if ever. Depressing.

Wanted to check on people's opinions now that the panorama for this year is clear.

What Japanese multiplats have been announced that Wii U is missing?

Most recent is a Dead or Alive 5 project by Tecmo Koei. Will need to check further, but there are some games.

I can't think of anything relevant.  Only garbage you might throw at old systems that have a 150 million userbase and hope some sales stick.

The idea that Wii U has been missing Japanese 3rd party multiplats is completely false at this stage, and you proved the point with your response.  Nothing has been announced for Next Gen, and little for PS360 of any value.  The one title that comes to mind is the RE 3DS port, and Wii U is getting that.  Wii U isn't missing anything, not anymore than any other system.  Not yet anyway.

How about we compare upcoming Japanese schedules from 3rd parties before you say WiiU isn't missing anything? You can check for yourself which games were announced at a time that meets your crtiteria, I'm sure there are plenty.

Sooo..... Lost Planet 3?

If you want to believe that... You can keep telling to yourself that major support will be coming and ignore that a 7 year old machine on its last breadth has 60 times more support than the successor to one of the most popular consoles ever created. However, it's a known fact that the Wii got literally no third party support in relation to its userbase, when compared to even, the X360. So why would it be any different or better this time when the console is selling like a dead one and when the third party efforts so far have done very badly. Why would any company support the console with what it shown so far?

We know that the headstart advantage Nintendo had entering this gen is already lost, and then some. It wouldn't be strange to see the Wii U struggle even more with suppor once the next gen machines arrive. If it isn't MS's or Sony's new machine, then surely the 3DS/Vita will prevent WiiU from getting games
as it is the most sensless choice for any dev right now, and that's why there's absolutely no new games announced for the console in Japan and won't be unless it's paid by Nintendo.

However, my point is that there is nothing saying it's not, either, and nothing has been announced by Japanese devs for PS360 or especially other Next Gen systems that is skipping Wii U, with the exception of Lost Planet 3.  The other title of significance, RE: Revelations, IS coming to Wii U.  Other titles that you have listed - upwards of 50 of them - are meaningless fluff that wouldn't possibly sell enough copies on any system with a 1 million or so Japanese install base.  They are the kinds of games that ONLY go to 7 year old systems with 10 million potential suckers who migh buy it.  The only games it makes sense to bring to a new system are games that would appeal to a broad audience and have a high attach rate.  Only 2 such titles have been announced, and one is coming to Wii U.  Other titles such as MGS5 may come to Wii U, it hasn't been denied at this stage.

So what you are saying is baseless, and there is nothing you can say to dispute that.

I tell myself lots of things.  Everyday I look in the mirror and say "You're beautiful!  You can take on this day and make it a winner!!"  One thing I do not tell myself is that major support is coming to Wii U.

So you disregard all the games coming to PS3 and tell me that WiiU has equal support. Great conclusion you arrived to there. And you keep on thinking that MGSV could be coming to the WiiU, further proving my point.

WiiU doesn't have ANY game announced, how is that hard to understand?

Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.

Fullfilled Prophecies

I guess it's a great moment of the year to revive this. Nintendo has just announced about everything they have for the rest of the year and some more (delays, releases of early next year). TGS has just passed. Yet I've seen about nothing announced from Japanese third parties for the rest of the year or next year.

Wii U will be getting Sonic: Lost World, Taiko Drum Master and MHFG (A multiplatform port of a port). Who still believes that situation will change? No one is showing any interest for the console there. Agreements with publishers seem forced and there's no publisher talking about future surprises or ny of the like.

Anyone's take on WiiU's situation in Japan regarding 3rd party support? It's blatantly worse than what the Wii suffered IMO.
