Meh, I'm pretty sure it'll happen sooner or later, sometime this year. Once WiiU's got a nice linup of strong games, and PS360 sales slow down because of their successors' upcoming releases, I think it will easily do it. Especially if some bigass hitters like Mario Kart 8 and the next 3D Mario come out eventually (this year, imo).

lol @people picking PS3 as lead console this year when it never has in the past 7... Some people need to take their fanboy goggles off. I dont support MS but it is hard to ignore it leads PS3 every year. Oh and the title should be will Wii U be number one since you are dismissing their other console simply because it is a portable one but in all honesty its because its the only way you have a valid point at all.

Well the 360 and PS3 are both in decline. Next year they probably won't sell 10 million, so the Wii U has a chance not to only beat them for a week, but for the year imo

They have some big gams coming this year, and rumor has it that they are releasing this year as well. I bet at least one comes out this Christmas and the other early next year. Hard to lead anything with all of that going on. Nintendo is going to need some huge games announced at E3 this year. I hope they know that. No big games, but HUGE games!


I'm surprised by the low numbers though... wow that's horribly low!
