it makes playing Resi evil so much better tho, I mean absolutely 1000 times more enjoyable a game with it, I have mgs3d to try out with it too but I got it wrapped up with a pre owned copy of Resi which set me back 15euros so I wasn't complaining :D weird how it connects to the 3ds tho... through the IR port, very odd device.

Not particullary contributing to the thread. But since the bolded seem to be a recurring subject, I'm going to ask... how so? I'm using gyro aiming and finding it much more enjoyable, precise and faster option than circle pad. Though sometimes I do find myself in akward positions after intense gunfight, I just cannot bring myself to use analog again.

so NOT on topic.. but i hope you play it in public!
Just got a mental picture of someone spinning around with a 3ds screaming in panic :D (would be so badass)

Not just that, anyone looking at that cartridge thing and saying that it + the circle pad pro would be needed have never attached the CPP to a 3ds since it grips around the top and bottom of it and completely covers the cart port. anything even a mm over the normal cart size wouldn't fit.

Huh.. well that settles it.

It is not gonna be used for that exact purpose atleast, if it is still some truth to it.
Cause there is no way it is gonna work as the rumor states.

edit: god damn that thing is ugly.. glad i dont have it :P

what the hell :P THATS what the IR port is for?!?!... well.. the japanese sure loves that IR..
not shitting you, EVERYTING has an IR port in japan.. and people don't get how they work still
cenario: phone-contact trade and the guy rammed his phone into mine like 1mm between them, i just smiled and thought "Its ok.. he dosn't know better..."

but anyway.. so this is something i should pick up? Gonna borrow the RE game from a friend in like 2 weeks.
Tried the demo though, and i thought it was ok with the 'standard' controls.. is it gonna be a mind blown experience?

Yeah it's really just an amazing game, graphically and for sound it is by far the best I've seen on the 3ds so far out of my around 30games for it. if you playing this in bed, lights out, good pair of headphones on... best RE experience this generation (please don't blame me for eye damage doing this! :D )

Just thought of another thing btw, the CPP which you would ofc need to use anything like is suggested in the rumor, well that doesn't work for the XL yet which I know they're making one but as it stands right now the only way to get it to work with the XL is by either breaking off the casing around the CPP or to wrap duct tape around them to try and hold the IR port in line. Considering how much ninty are pushing people to get XL's even offering a free game atm if you register the XL online before the 15th of this month, they wont be turning around and burning everyone who upgraded to XL sizes really.

Yeah, I've apologized for not being on topic, just finished another episode of RE:R.

Actually the gyro is precise enough to easily score headshots left and right but at the same time is not limiting to narrow aim sector. 180 degree, both axis are easily accessible with little tilt. And resetting position is easy, just release R button, make yourself comfortable and press it again. After watching some videos on youtube I can see how people are struggling with analog aiming, it feels stiff, like being locked on the grid with only vertical and horizontal movements... shot, ah missed an inch left from monster's head... shot again, damn, missed inch right from his head... shot, finally a headshot!.. too bad it needs 6 more of them, so you end up being eaten alive -- that's what I saw in some of the game's review :D

the most random rumor I have seen in a while

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

for a laugh / dare I once played mewtroid the entirity of a bus Journey.... now that makes for a funny sight :D but you know that the CPP isn't just the 2nd stick, you also get Lz and Rz buttons so 4 shoulder buttons means you never really need to adjust how you're holding the 3ds while you play which means you get to fully enjoy the 3d effect on, since that is completely impossible with any kind of moving especially playing a game with Gyro controls on it.

Video of Mewtroid, it's a part of WarioWare Twisted, the gyrocontrolled WarioWare GBA game which originally didn't come out in Europe over fears it generated in the US that kids would drink the mercury inside it's gyro... you play the game by rolling the GBA side to side to roll the cat onto it's back and mash A to fire :D it's.... yeah.... Nintendo :)

Wii U and 3DS connectivity via the standard Wi-Fi would effect the use of online? As far as I've understood, Wii U streams interactively only through the wireless that is used by the gamepad, which to my knowledge operates on 5GHz, while 3DS uses only the 2,4GHz frequency.

Vaan pannaan jalalla koreasti.

Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo system.

Agreed, but I don't like 3D in the first place so I turn it off regardless in every game on 3DS.

It would only affect the online if they made an ad-hoc network (device to device, like wired directly, only wireless). Assuming they don't, and speak over the regular network it would not interfere with eachother.
(under normal wireless use. its a bit more complicated than it seemes... god damnit now i wanna talk about wireless standards/algorithms & encryption)

short: could but shuldn't if done right
