Forums - Gaming Discussion - People trading in WiiU..

Come on man, it's easy to see why. The WiiU isn't really next gen. Technically it's but it's inferior to the 360 and PS3. Why you ask, because those markets are already much bigger. And public perception is that it's competing with the PS3 and 360. This is VERY bad for Nintendo if you ask me. So people don't get it. Nintendo doesn't have any games that can't run on a PS3, or 360. You have exclusives for the sake of exclusives, but nothing that is cutting edge. When the PS4 and 720 launch, you know some of the launch titles won't be able to run on the WiiU.

I honestly think it's to late to the market for what market they are pushing it into. Far too little in graphical power leap over the last gen. When you look at it, why buy a WiiU now when the PS4 and 720, the "hardcore" HD next generation systems are coming out in less than a year? I say it's inferior because it's what Nintendo made it. They released it knowing it would be inferior to the next generation machines. But just like last gen, they are gambling with another fad controller. But, lightning won't strike twice IMO. Just like the Vita, but least the WiiU is still selling decently.. They just don't get their market. Smartphones killed the Vita. And with the WiiU, it's missing features that players find very important. And this is supposed to be "next gen". How can it be when it can't do what its competition is doing with last generation tech?

I officially don't get Nintendo at all. I think they've lost it.

PS: Playing with the stock controller is horrible. I can see people hating it honestly, pro controller is the only way. But then if you go that route, you hit all the other issues. The missing features, and terrible library. Not good at all for adults, have to admit that much..

When you wake up from your dream, come back and post something that isn't a rant for the sake of a rant.

They heard Sony stopped shipping PS2s in Japan and put 2 & 2 together and got that the PS4 is coming.

People do that, they did it to the PS3,360, Wii and the Vita. The Wii U is no different. People purchase items without knowing much about it and end up losing out. That doesn't mean the item is any less that what it was made out to do. Maybe it didn't have any games the consumer wanted.

Maybe it us an unwanted xmas present or they won it somehow.

Plus dont forget the thousand units stolen from the warehouse.

Trade in before 2 months us always weird to me for both games and consoles.

Adding, ebay is killing gaming music and book market everyone knows tge they will always find cheaper in there.

Switch!!!

wait wha?????  I mean comparing the Wii U to the PS Vita???????   so Wii U will fail because its not powerful enough.........just like the Vita.  Also, I don't think it was smartphones that killed the Vita.  Do you really think that the PS4 will launch with a better Library?  I might not be a professional in the Video Game industry but I'm pretty sure all consoles launch with terrible libraries and they improve over time.

Dude you are very confused.

Also,. about "I officially don't get Nintendo at all"  Don't worry, very few people do, but that's a failing on the people's side, not on Nintendo's.  No one really understands them and no one will but they willing keep on succeeding.  Just quit while you're behind.

Zippy-When complaints were made about the Vita, people said give it at least a year on the market before making judgement. It seems to me that people are judging WiiU after several weeks on the market..is that fair?

People are trading their WiiU already? News to me.. Anyone trading a WiiU already didn't really want one in the first place. They either are complete suckers for marketing hype or are trying to reap a profit off their purchase. Either way I don't have much respect for them.

Some people will have played it for a bit and got bored These will be the same people that re buy it in a few years when the libary of games increases.

Sony fans buying the WiiU without game so nintendo loses money and now trading it in (doesnt matter if you lose your money as long as your arch nemesis bleeds "INSERT BOSS LAUGHTER HERE")

I am guessing you're a real drag at parties.

Why are anti-Nintendo chuckleheads so emo? I mean, seriously, look at this picture? The Suikoden guy in your avatar is even crying for no reason:

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
