Xbox 360 is owning almost 70% of the market from 1 year ago to today and its just growing as fast as we speak. Same for Mexico.

It's not from one year to today... it topped 68% in August 2012 alone.

I've never seen an X360 in the home of anyone to be honest. Everybody owns PS3s or Wiis. Probably MS is starting to compare sales of products manufactured locally and they export X360s to other south american countries.

In April 2012 the PS3 was the most selling console... in 2011 the 360 market was 5.9%... it grew and topped 68% in August 2012.
I guess it can reach big number after that... but I don't know yet... and that will change in 2013 because the 30% price reduction of PS3 (360 have 40% price reduction to reach 68% market share in August).
And I need to see all these 360 users here in Brazil lol.

I tried to split the 3.1 installed base based in the new...
PS3: ~1600k
360: ~1000k
Wii: ~500k
What I did? Well the installed base in 2010 was: PS3: 750k, 360: 300k and Wii: 230k (~1.3 million).
2011 + 2012 = 1.8 million (3.1 - 1.3)
360 have less than 10% market share until 2011... 2012 it have topped ~70%... 3.1 million is not the end of the year numbers... so even with the increase I think the numbers are 1000k for 2011 and 800k for 2012.
360: 300k + 200k (2011) + 500k (2012) = 1000k
Wii: 230k + 200k (2011) + 100k (2012) = 530k
PS3: 700k + 700k (2011) + 200k (2013) = 1600k
Somebody have a better ideia to split the data???

40% price reduction... there is no magic... before that the 360 have less than 10% of market share.
Lifetime sales is way behind PS3 yet.
So it is not huge here.
