oops!!! Germans really like PC games....

not only this - many germans consider the pc as the best gaming-platform ;) you can't really discuss with germans about gaming as most think that pc is superior in any way and we have a *lot* of these guys. they don't care that this is a singularity in the world :) when posting sales-data and facts proving that consoles are very successful most get angry and start insulting, this is so sad...

also keep in mind that we have a long tradition of hacking and cracking stuff which is where you almost always need a pc.

the best thing is when those pc fanboyists start to yell about "the consoles are holding us back from getting better graphics" which is kind of true, but they are immune to the fact that console programming also makes pc games better because developers learn to optimize their code.

germans are tech-affine. so am i. i have a midclass pc, ps3, wii, 3ds, vita, galaxy s3, 46" full hd tv and i am planning on getting a tablet and a 3d full hd beamer.

but argueing about pc =/= consoles there won't ever be consense. if you are a pc fanboy you will never accept the fact a console is so much more comfortable. i was more pc oriented once (cheaper and better graphics, more games). but then i had the troubles... hdd broke, problems with drivers, aaaand stuff. i was so fed up, i bought a ps3 and used the pc for surfing and photoshop.

I think i read somewhere that downloads doesn't apear in this statistic, is that right ? Then germans may prefer buying a game in a store instead of downloading it (i prefer it myself)

Most of my friends who actually play videogames has a console, only some play for example nba 2k13 on a PC. I think it depents on the game you play. I grew up without a console, so everything was new when I got my ps3 when I was 13 and I think this still effects me. There are games I enjoy playing on the console, but espacially shooters I hate on consoles, not really sure why.

germans dont like xbox....not a bit.

i do and many of my friends also, but ms fails to win living-rooms. in germany mostly men around 30-40 play on xbox (based on my observations) while ps3 also is attractive to women and/or whole families. also the brandname playstation is very known here, especially because of singstar which was a *massive* success in germany.
