Forums - Gaming Discussion - PS Store vs XBLA: Side by Side: XBLA wins by a landslide

Wasn't Lara Croft a timed exclusive for XBLA. A short period of time, but still timed exclusive.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

This seems like a very arbitrary list.

Also, not sure why half of the psn list is games that are on both. If you list it one one, why not the other?

I went by metacritic scores.  A lot of games are rated lower than the XBLA version because of a later release date.

Well there's your problem. To today's consumer it doesn't matter that a game was a timed exclusive. Also multiplat games should include their price on both systems since one console may be cheaper. If you want to say one service is better, you need to look at value. Otherwise just make a top 20 list of exclusives only.

It kind of does matter because then by the time it hit the other platform most people already bought it.  It becomes almost irrelevant on the next system if exclusive long enough.  It gives them a big advantage.

XBLA has a better of library of games than PSN.

What? Didn't you just make a thread ranting about why we should ban all PSN vs XBL threads?

This is not XBL vs PSN now is it?  That is online, these are actual games.

And please don't bring that up in here because we really don't need that nonsense.

Oh, sorry, you're right. This is not XBL vs PSN.

Can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not, but thank you for commenting on the actual OP.....

To Microsoft yes, to the consumer no.

wtf is your angle?  sales potential?  availiblility of good games?  value?  e-peen?

your OP has no direction at all.  you say you want to compare the two but you artifically cut both at 20 games each?  how is that suppose to provide any comparision let alone a fair one.  you artifically make them look equal.

These are the best rated games for each. top 20.  Not hard to figure that out?

Next will ne Nintendo Eshop vs PSV store

Title should be "Top 20 games from XBL vs Top 20 games from PSN".

20 games do not represent an entire library.
