Forums - PC Discussion - What are some awesome point and click games for the PC?

Dark Fall: The Journal for PC was pretty scary when I played it, though the puzzles are a bit obtuse.

Also, seconding Syberia, though I haven't played the sequel yet. I've seldom played a game with such endearing characters before.

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

I bought Monkey Island 3 last week...And the game is broken ...I wished I could play it...It is my favourite Point and click game...

Mmmhh maybe downloading it;.

DiscWorld! That was a fun one. Some puzzles made no sense, but I loved the humor in it.

Sam and max are great. There is a completely free episode of their first season you can download at http://www.gamershell.com/download_21854.shtml.

A demo of their latest episode can be found at http://www.gamershell.com/download_22763.shtml

Have fun playing!

Battlefield 2: Gazz1979

I am suprised no one mentioned the Space Quest series yet. (also from Sierra like King's Quest and many others)... Tons of funny references to pop culture.

I've played quite a few. My very favorites, in rough order:

1. Grim Fandango
2. The Longest Journey
3. Myst (only the first game)
4. Indigo Prophecy
5. Dreamfall (The Longest Journey 2)

Syberia and Syberia 2 are also pretty good, but these five are a cut above. Also, I've played a few of the older Sierra games, but haven't really gotten into them. At this point, their presentation is too dated for me.

Hi !!, i'm really new here ... but has anybody play Sanitarium ??, it's not a famous point & click game for the PC, but i thought it was really good, it has a great story, really inmersive and the grapichs aren't that bad either,

My mind has changed. My strength has not.    Kamahl, Fist of Krosa

Play
1. Day of the Tentacle
2. Monkey Island II
3. Monkey Island I
.

These are the best :)

Then play Indiana Jones III: Last Crusade, Indiana Jones IV: Fate of Atlantis, Sam & Max, Grim Fandango, The Dig, they're almost as good.

Maniac Mansion or especially Zak McKracken are hard to get into nowadays, they're very old school. Loom is a bit strange, Full Throttle is quite good, Monkey Island III is ok, Monkey Island IV not so much.

By the way, what do you mean by "terrible graphics"?

Currently playing: NSMB (Wii)

Waiting for: Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Wii), The Last Story (Wii), Golden Sun (DS), Portal 2 (Wii? or OSX), Metroid: Other M (Wii),
... and of course Zelda (Wii)

The Longest Journey is very good, as are Broken Sword and the Gabriel Knight series! Call of Cthulu is also good, and pretty scary...

Oh yeah! Gabriel Knight is good. And I personally liked Phantasmagoria, muwahahaha
