animals dont have religion because they are not aware about themselves if so then they arent aware of death so the question what happens after death doesnt come to their minds so god is something thats impossible to comprehend for them... in the old testament it says which animals you can eat ...so why is that i realy dont know..maybe so that we can see what a beautiful world god has created so that there is something to look at like videogames :D

Animals don't have religion because they don't need temples to control happiness, as unhappy animals don't cause revolts. This is basic Civilization knowledge (except in Civ V).

It's how the human mind works. Humans are self aware creatures. Our brains have developed to the point where we were able to ask "who are we?", "where did we come from?" That became the foundation for religion, philosophy, art, and science. Other animals on earth have only reached a stage where basic survival is all that really matters to them and are incapable of having a sense of self.
