It seems Ubisoft has put much more effort and passion in 2D Rayman than Nintendo has in 2D Mario (they reserve that for 3D Mario)

These NSMB games lack some 'magic' that was present in the NES/SNES games.

The magic was in gameplay and format of NSMU not so much the graphics.

except that a lot of reviewers, and myself think rayman has better gameplay too... Origins Anyways.

2880x1800? Yes, please.

lol the Wii U max output is 1080p... the Macbook upscale the image to 2880x1800 to fit the screen... nothing new here even a 720p game is showed in 2880x1800 resolution in a Macbook screen.

It's a beautiful game, made even more beautifuler on a super duper hi-rez screen.  Not sure what you're tring to accomplish, Captain Buzzkill.

I'm just saying the game is note native 2880x1800.

Anyway the Rayman in PS3 and 360 are 1080p@60 fps too (the native output... the game is rendered in 1090p on PS3 and 540p on 360 but the final native output is 1080p for both... I can explain the techniques if you want).

The Rayman series have the trademard "double-speed at half-speed" and that's make all games to be 60fps (it's rendered at 120fps but downsampled to 60fps).

Yes, I know all of this.  Are you saying that it wouldn't look nice on a 1800p screen?  If not, then I have no idea what you're getting at.

I think it look really beautiful on a 1800p but not much difference from a 1080p screen because the size of the screen... the screen size of the Mac is small to show all the quality of a 1800p resolution.

In fact I think this demo of Rayman Legends is better than Rayman Origins because the art style... I liked it.

The game looks amazing, and best of all, is exclusive for the Wii U.

Regardless of its native resolution, trust me, everything looks better in that high of resolution.

And I agree that the art style in Legends is much more detailed and creative than in Origins.  By the time it comes out, it will no doubt be the best-looking game on Wii U.  It will also be tough competition for best-looking game on any console, in my opinion.
