the vita would be saved if this were true. sadly it does not financially make sense unless sony funded the entire project of course.

Why would you want MGS5 on Vita? How about its own stand alone installment like Portable Ops+/Peace Walker.

Leave "Metal Gear Solid" mainline series on consoles and spinoffs/enhanced ports/remakes on Portables.

It's MGSV(ita), not MGS5 if these rumors are true. At the end of the trailer a girl even says "Vee haz come two." That's enough proof for me that V is a letter not a number.

While I think this would be great on Vita and easily rendered on the hardware, I highly doubt it's exclusive. A Vita port however is very likely. No chance in hell this is Wii U exclusive. Sony and Microsoft would be extremely displeased about their logos advertizing a competitor's product.

Metal Gear Solid Vita is a possibility, but no way in hell would they put a mainline title on a handheld.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

because that could actually save the Vita like MGS4 saved the PS3 early on

If this game does feature transfarring, then there would have to be a PS3 version. If there is a PS3 version, there is no reason to show Vita footage in the debut trailer as opposed to the PS3/360 footage. Therefore IMO, all those points contradict each other.

I'm not saying I agree with the OP but the transafarring features is between different games too... not only the same game.

There is no saving grace for Vita, first its Uncharted, then it's "wait 'till Christmas", then it CoD...and now it's a game that won't exist on the system. Getting pathetic.

Sooo because I like Nintendo I can't have a valid statement? I guess the same can be said for you. It's kinda funny under "currently playing" I have 2 PS3 games and 1 from Nintendo. You on the other hand have all 3 from Sony......I just call things as I see it, it's as simple as that. Even when it comes to Nintendo.

Next time call me out on a wrong statement I make, not my avatar. My statement is pretty damn accurate though.

My only question is, what reason would Kojima have to make it a Vita exclusive? It would sell far better as a full console title on the HD platforms, and it would make them a lot more money as a $59.99 game instead of a $39.99 Vita game/ download. Vita's install base just doesn't justify such an expensive game to be made as an exclusive.

i was getting ready to dismiss this article until i read it. it does make sense but the graphics comment does not hold true. the only reason why ground zero "looks" better is because the demo too place in wet terrain and showcased the shader effexts on the wet surfaces. what we saw was definitely far above what we know the vita to capable off, and cant even be sure if the final game will look this good on ps3/360.
