You could put into that list a large share of >90rated games on metacritic in the last 5 years.
Anyway, historically Halo is the winner.

Fair enough, but I'm still Mario enjoying Mario and this hasn't prevented me to discover any sort of different games ;)
Uncharted is THE most overrated, run of the mill linear, 3rd person jamboree with standard platforming and gunplay, the stories were average at best and all this was propped up by decent voice acting and good graphics.
To me that's not a great game.

I really should have said "some people". That's what I was thinking, anyway.
i'm sorry but only halo belongs on the list and where are the games like GTA,Super Mario,The Elder Scrolls and Call of Duty???
Some of these games don't seem overrated to me at all...
I wasn't under the impression anyone liked Super Paper Mario...
It's been cool to hate Twilight Princess for at least two years now...
No "core gamer" takes Wii Sports or Skylanders seriously...
And I don't really see anyone gushing over Super Meat Boy anymore...
You can't like Gear of War or Halo without being branded and Xbox fanboy...
This is the most bizarre list of overrated games I've ever seen...

I didn't realize that Dragon's Lair was acclaimed enough to count as overrated...
Anyhow, from that list I would pick Gears of War; not a bad game, just overrated, IMO. I haven't played Skylanders, though.
Other games/series that I personally find overrated this gen are Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect, The Elder Scrolls games and Fallout 3/New Vegas. Just not worthy of the hype to me personally, but I don't particularly dislike them (except for Fallout; really didn't care for that at all).
