Forums - Gaming Discussion - No new games for WiiU on VGA, this worries me

Some big multiplatform games were announced today, new MGS, new DS. But they're all PCS360. Why not the WiiU? Its a brand new system, said to be by some to be more capable than PS360, so why doesn't these new games have a WiiU version?

Its something I don't understand, Dark Souls 2 on WiiU wouldve been a big incentive for me to get it on WiiU. It would've worked awesome with the GamePad I think.

What WiiU games are there for 2013 outside Wonderful 101, Pikmin 3 and Bayonetta 2? Another Mario?

It seems the biggest multiplatform games releasing next year(starting with Bioshock) are skipping Nintendos new system.

And before some people criticize and say "oh I knew this woulda be a thread by the OP", think again, I explained myself in a lengthy piece of text why it worries me.

It is concerning. My best guess is that these games have been in development for a while now and they didnt have time to make a Wii U version too. Thats what Im telling myself anyway.

So you are regretting your WiiU purchase?

Publishers are doing the 'wait and see' approach. If the Wii U sells well enough they'll arrange a port in fairly short order or if they get incentives from Nintendo, ditto. An announcement is a commitment which means spending money and they don't have to make any announcements.

Tease.

No BIG announcements this year. DS and MGS are ok but I'm not hyped.

Dark Souls 2 got announced? FUCK YEAH that made my day!

I love the fact that GTA V didn't show up at VGA or e3.. No world premiere.

No. He is worry that his WiiU he would not have bought will not be getting 3rd parties games that he would have bought for his PS3. Or something like that.
