Honestly, I found Metroid Prime to be nowhere near as interesting or fun as the 2D games. If I were to rank the most overrated and most disappointing games by Nintendo, this trilogy would top both lists. It was MUCH more rewarding anticipating this game than actually playing it.

In the end, it seemed more like Nintendo was trying to make a "Me too!" first person shooter and then attempting to write off the clunky slow aiming controls as "it's a first person adventure!" The only positive thing I can recall about it were the graphics for the time period of its release.

Why say "Nintendo was" when you know Retro made it?  However, we all have our opinions and viewpoints.  I've played part of Prime and I enjoyed what I played of it.

Because the game is produced by Shigeru Miyamoto, composed by Kenji Yamamoto, and developed by Retro studios, all a part of Nintendo.

Would you say: "Why are you calling Hollywood movies American when you know they are made in California."

From my understanding, it wasn't owned by Nintendo at the time.  It wasn't until afterwards did Nintendo claim ownership over Retro.  I thought that this would make a difference?  Also Retro is an American studio, so it seems like these people aren't the usual ones who make the games.  So the decisions would not be all up to one or two people.

Shit has it really been 10 years!?!
