I doubt it is using DirectX 11. While that would probably be a smart thing for Sony to do - as it would make cross platforming much easier, designers seem to like it, graphics on it look amazing, etc. I doubt they would use it. Even-though they are a Microsoft partner (with PC Manufacturing), they seem to hate Microsoft.

They, like the Wii (and I assume the WiiU) will be using OpenGL.

Put part of me hope that Microsoft launches with DirectX 12. As we will probably be stuck with that version for a while and I would want to have the most innovative.

So it's not Direct X 11, but an equivalent API, which will be built around its architecture.

I doubt Sony will use DX11. Working with OpenGL was never what developers complained about PS3. 256MB of Ram and an exotic cpu was.

Besides, Why would they do that ? More and More games are supporting linux now.

Linux games will rise exponentially over the next few years.

Hm, last time I checked DirectX 11.1 and OpenGL 4.3 are pretty much equivalent, so I don't see why would Sony use DirectX in the first place.
