I had 1 freeze during Ninja Gaiden 3 so far, everything else ran without problems.

ok according to twitter and the likes of IGN folks... the update coming right now is version 2.1.0 and improves stability.
So yes, this should be world wide and fix the hard locks.

I've had a couple of issues with mine. it's frozen while i've played assassin's creed III a couple times, and I think once when I was playing black ops II. overall it hasn't had enough problems to make me upset, so i guess that's what matters?
Mine's been working fine so far except 1 thing.
It kept turning off by itself when I unplug it.

NIntendo have never had such issues. Their failure rate is like less than 1% for the Wii.
There was a graph of this comparing all three posted on vgchartz somewhere. It was an interesting chart. NIntendo was roughly the same (flatish line), bothe micrososft and sony had slopes that flattened out. I was actually amazed that both now produce consoles with the same failure rate as the Wii. Good effort on micrososft's behalf considering how bad 360 launch was.
ON TOPIC, AUSSIE WiiU system here. So far no issues.
However I have only purchased third party games (and yet to try out NIntendoland that came with the WiiU). Looks liek NIntnedo's first party games are too excited to be in HD for the first time ending up having a brain fart and freeze.
