Christmas has very little to do with it. The fact is if people were truly desperate for vita they would have rushed out to buy it as soon as they could. The only push christmas has is it 'persuades' people to pay what they normally would't.

We need to talk about how people make pointless assumptions with no official information whatsoever from Nintendo in regards to available shipments accross the U.K. Furthermore, many U.K. pre-orders were not filled due to stock restraints - an example would be Tesco.
Why are you comparing the Vita to the Wii U - one is a portable gaming system and one is a console! And please, Vita outselling the Wii U in the U.K. over the longterm - laughable.
