Well I doubt it'd be DX11 only, if they were to use a cutoff point they would stick with DX10 given that a DX10 card can still run compute shaders albeit much poorer than a native DX11 card.
Tease.

It would be interesting too see a fully DX11 renderer, rather than the DX9/10 with DX11 stuff hacked in that we have gotten so far. But I doubt they would go for DX11 only, tho the closed beta test was DX11 only could be the system requirements for that.
I will brobably upgrade my system sometime next year, my 560 Ti is a great card but some of the more demanding games comming up will need a bit more juice to get the most out of. And my Phenom II 955 is starting to show it's age as well.

wait for 760 ti! or whatever the hell, that's what I'm waiting for.
What's your phenom clocked to?. My brother has X4 940@3.5, and same card, and in some games he gets way worse because of his processor (mines i7 920@4ghz). I still think 560 ti, is good enough to get to the next gen after 600 series. But I know you know a lot.
I suppose upgrading a card is easier then upgrading mobo and cpu. heh.

I never buy cards from back to cack generations so it will likely be something like the 760 Ti, that's why I'm upgrading sometime next year. 560 Ti is a great car, runs most current games 1080p 60fps on high to max at the moment so I'm pretty happy with it, the only things it really has a problem with now is maxed out Crysis 2 DX11, maxed Witcher 2, anything with PhysX like Borderlands 2 etc. But with games like Watch Dogs, Crysis 3, Star Wars 1313, Metro: Last Light, Cyberpunk, Reset, Fortnight, Far Cry 3 etc comming up I have a feeling it may start to fall behind. It's really my CPU that is holding me back, it's about time I got an Intel CPU I think. It would probably be smarter to wait until 2014 as next gen consoles will be in full swing by then setting the tech precedent but I am impatient and like shiny new things.
My CPU throws a fit if it's overclocked, even 100Mhz causes crashing so I leave it at stock.

not sure if same source but this is from GI. some stuff looks the same

Should be fine, although I doubt I'll be able to shove everything on high:
Core i5 2500K 3.3GHz (no overclock)
8Gb DDR3 RAM
AMD 7870HD 2Gb
Hopefully I can put this on the SSD, but it doesn't have enough room for my Steam folder (those sales completely slaughter my disc space )

You'll be more than fine. I will be shocked if Crysis 3 is CPU bound... It's going to be all GPU.
In terms of your CPU, here is a chart showcasing what GPU bound games look like on a range of CPUs. You won't miss a beat with an Athlon X4...

Do you have a data drive.
You can just go to steamapps--> common. Cut a game folder and put it in a data drive. When you want to install it just transfer it from your data to solid state drive. And click install in steam. That way you can have all your games, but only the ones you really want to play at the moment on your ssd.
Steam needs to fix this though. Let you choose where to put older games or something on 2 different drives.

Wouldn't a Crysis 2 chart be more appropriate here?
And the DX11 doesn't seem to like the X6 for some reason
