yup, thats why uncharted 3's sales before the bundling (which were about 1.1 million) well be higher than gears 3's entire 2012 sales :D

So? It wouldnt have caught up anytime soon if it wasnt bundled.

uncharted was selling A LOT before bundling, it sold well over a million units this year before the bundles even started. uncharted was gonna pass with out without the bundles, the bundles will just make the inevitable happen quicker


Indeed it was. But I'd make the guess that the current sales are due to bundles (over 50% of the sales).


yup the bundles are without a doubt helping U3 sales, but it still would have outsold gears3 this year by a high margin without them. but i agree with what you said, its really smart what they are doing by getting the uncharted fanbase as large as possible

Easily =/ eventually. Eventually implies a long struggle.Guess well never know how long it would take.

Alls I knows is....Im gonna mine this thread like a SCV whenever Forza bundles are called into question. Cause it seems to be all rosy when Uncharted gets a boost. Enjoy.

uncharted sold better as gears even without bundle over the year  but if you would now take away the sales of the last weeks which uncharted got because of the bundles gears would be still 750k or something in front. not sure what you believe uncharted would sell without bundles now and next year per monthly basis but it should be lower as this year and gears will probably also sell some units so without bundles i don't think uncharted 3 would sell more as gears 3 until maybe end of next year but it's hard to say how both will sell next year.

I just casually referenced Forza for its bundle factor. Dont wanna derail the thread. Just saying Sony fans seem to be cool with Uncharted bundling. So in the end, no biggie.

Uncharted 3 is permanently bundled with the cheapest PS3, so sales will fly by Gears 3.

P.S. to anyone downplaying this inevitable feat:

Gears 3 was massively bundled at launch, shifted hundreds of thousands of 360s.

So don't be a hypocrite.
