I know. I had four previously that I had to go straight to the store to exchange for and when the fifth one bricked I just went out and bought the elite which was my sixth xbox.

Have you tried USB drives? AFAIK you can add up to 64 GB now.

Just get a 250gb slim, I found a really good deal on mine, only £100 and this was over a year ago.

One's an elite. About 3 years? Not entirely sure but it's been sent for repairs before and that was the week before gears 2 came out.

The other one is the original white one and came with no HDD but I got it about 4 years ago new.


the dont repair them.  suck it up and get a new one.

Which is probably what I'll end up doing. Can you still use the old HDD's in the new ones?

I do have one. One sec, I'll try.

Edit - Okay so it still pops up with system update but the card apparantly can't hold that much data because it only has 44MB on it. Since I can't get the update it won't let me connect to xbox-live.
