Forums - Microsoft Discussion - New downloadable content for Mass Effect?

Today, when I booted up ME, I got a small message on the bottom of the screen. It read:

New downloadable content available. Go to Xbox Live.

Has anyone received this message? I went in-game to get the content, but nada's there. Hmmm ...

Oy. I was just going to head to Gamestop to buy Oblivion (still haven't finished the game) and you post this...

I would much rather play new Mass Effect content if it's available.

Or check out my new webcomic: http://selfcentent.com/

Go get Oblivion, Rocketpig. You won't regret it. Expecially if you don't already own it (easily the 2nd best RPG of this gen, and in some cases better than ME).

Maybe MS is just whetting the ME owners appetite for DLC?

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

The only new content I see is for an HD video of a Discovery Channel thing - maybe that's it ... but I am still hyped.

@ RocketPig - I don't know which one is cheaper, but the PS3 version has all of the downloadable stuff from the 360 and looks better. Seeming you have games for your PS3, why not? Cost is my only factor ...

There was an update that made the 360 version look as good as the PS3 version IIRC. PS3 still has better loads, though.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Unfortunatly ME menu seems to indicate "New Content" whenever anything related to ME is released on Live. i.e. Videos, Gamer Pics, Themes, etc.

I got all excited when I first saw this too...

My 360 can blog!

Gamers have 3 choices this generation: The Exercise Machine, the Movie Machine, or the Game Machine.  What kind of gamer are you?

Yes. Sadly it's just that Sci vs. Fi documentary. Considering I only played through Mass Effect once, I still have a lot to keep me busy. I'd gladly pay for new skins, enemies, and abilities. I'm just not ready for new missions/storylines yet.

Mass Effect, Eternal Sonata and Lost Odyssey are all better than Oblivion.  Oblivion gets repetitive and tiresome.

I found Oblivion to be pretty dam boring. Lvling bored the crap out of me. All you have to do is press down a button and go do something else to entertain yourself. If you are getting it, then I recommend getting it for the PC because there are quite a bit of 3rd-party mods available on the PC version. My friend keeps playing Oblivion only because of those mods.

On-topic: I have been getting that dam message from the day I got the game(got it on launch). I want more Mass Effect goodness faster.

Lol. Didn't Bioware say that there would be some substantial Mass Effect DC???? Like actual story-bridging stuff? Personally I wouldn't put it past them to use DC to take care of the fact that different people got different endings. This would be in preparation for a sequel, especially if they are planning to bring out a PS3 version as well.
