I dont see why MS would bring it out of their studios to a school. They could easily get the children to them in a controlled enviornment.

@jay520

I will ask next time I talk to my friend, and see if he knows for a fact. If they discussed specifics. If they did it was before I joined the conversation. Like wise I will tell you what came of the story if anything.

@brendude

Perhaps it is, but it certainly isn't mine. I am just recounting what I was told in a online chat.

@Max King of The Wild

That would make sense if they were still doing controlled testing. This has come up a few times in this thread, but it isn't really a solid counter argument against what the source claimed. Companies do field test their products, and it is something they have to do. Nothing is worse for a company then releasing a product only to find out it suffers from a shit load of issues. Which they could have identified, or rectified if they did real field testing. There comes a time when things have to be tested outside of a lab.

Believe me when I say that I was asked to find fault in what was being said, and I honestly couldn't find any logical contradictions. Companies do field test their products. Even their big top secret products. This wouldn't even be in that realm anyway. Microsoft has shown this tech publicly. I mean we know the specifics of the technology, seen video of it in use, and even seen it married to Kinect sensors.

We also know that Milo was more then a tech demo. Which isn't even required by this story, but still the project did continue for over a year after the demo was shown on stage, and Microsoft went to the trouble of making a very odd statement about Milo. Only saying it wasn't a game they planned to release last holiday season. So there isn't even a good reason to think that Milo doesn't exist.

Anyway while there wasn't a lot to dissect. I certainly didn't find any red flags.
