This games must have been a big disappointment for Capcom to want to port it.

I highly doubt it would sell 1M on X360 and PS3 combined. Unless Capcom intends to advertise it like RE6.

Nope. Just capcom being capcom. They were going to port it anyway.

One more thing to complete my year = senran kagura localization =D

No idea, but considering it was stated that GC to Wii ports with no enhancements can be done with a small team over a weekend, I will assume it is super cheap and easy with publishing duties being the highest cost.  While no such thing has ever been claimed of a 3DS to WiiU port.

Well then, do you think sales of 500k copies would be enough to make a 3DS to Wii U port profitable?

Also, do you believe that a 3DS to 360 and a 3DS to PS3 port would be doable at significantly lower costs than a 3DS to Wii U port?

I don't know the cost so I will not guess using a figure for WiiU sales.  As I originally said though Nintendo fans likely own a 3DS already and the 600k or so who did buy it would detract from WiiU sales.  I'm going to make a bold claim and say that there will be a lot less PS3/360 owners who own a 3DS than there will be WiiU owners.

considering that Wii U can run pretty much anything a 360 or PS3 can run, they can do them all at once without a lot of cost, they really would just throw higher res textures at it without changing much of anything else anyways.

Considering Capcom has working models for their MT framework available for everything else and not the Wii U, im assuming any [system] to Wii U will cost more off the bat.

If MT Framework works on PC, it will work on Wii U without much effort, it's a very flexible engine, they even have the Lite version working on Wii after all.

If they want to make money, Why not making Monster Hunter for non-nintendo platforms ?

Well, they should have something up and running on the Wii U since they are porting Monster Hunter Tri Ultimate to it.

Not really, Capcom ports games whenever they think they can get money. RE4 was ported to PS2, PC, Wii, iPhone and I think they just did ports for PS3 and Xbox 360 last year or this year.

Revelations is based off Capcom's mobile platform which they used to make Super Street Fighter 4: 3D Edition and I believe their iPhone ports of SF4 and the iPhone version of RE4. I honestly was expecting a iPhone/Andriod release before a console edition of Revelations but given they could probably do it via Downloadable game for any of the major consoles, it shouldn't be that surprising.

Personally, I hope they hold off on announcing it until the end of the year so that Revelations might still get decent sales this holiday season from those RE fans that held out on purchase expecting a port down the road.

People are forgetting that the Wii U can run the game just as it is thanks to the common dual screen setup. Meanwhile a port to the gamepadless consoles requires modifications in the game itself for it to work, meaning extra costs.

You say tomato, I say tomato

"¡Viva la Ñ!"

Game was pretty fun. I nabbed my 3DS copy for $20.

I think its an idea for a quick buck, but its not gonna go well.

Revelations is a great title in the 3DS, but on home consoles it will be a sub-par resident evil. The reviewers are gonna trample all over it as usual.
