I don't regret buying it. That said, it's quite different from the N64 and Gamecube games (better in some ways, worse in others), so if you can try to take it on its own terms you'll enjoy it more.

I could actually careless, the game is fun. It still has interesting/funny story writing (for a Mario game) and the battle system I could get used to.
Just got it today during Black Friday!

I think I'll get this game tomorrow, still in doubt about which to play first, this one or Layton... but I think Paper Mario wins.

Truth be told, I was never 100% keen on Paper Mario's gameplay, as I find the Mario and Luigi games to be far superior in that aspect. The dialogue is where it's at.

Enemies also cheat. Magikoopa turn all your stickers into flipflops.
