This exactly. Graphics are nice but gameplay trumps graphics.  My point with all this is if people are going to brag about graphics then get off of consoles because they are not the best.

umm thats great if you like pc games but i hate playing pc games. I only play PS3 thats it and the graphics are incredible. Let me ask you this my friend is there a game on the pc like uncharted or killzone, resistance, infamous, god of war 3, gran turismo NO NO NO NO NO! So whats your argument here if there is no games like i listed on the pc. PC games are for people who like pc games if the pc is so much more powerful and my ps3 is so week how come I havent scene any games like the ones I listed on the PC. It's simple your asertion is wrong the PS3 is a very powerful machine. The PC may be more powerful but there is nothing on the pc market that would even interest me in switching EVERRRRRRR! I just do not like playing on a PC period. I am a PS3 gamer only and am very happy with my console.

As hadlee73 said, can't it be relative? For example, I am impressed by the graphics of Silent Hill: Shattered Memories on Wii, but not by those of Silent HIll Donwpour on the 360/PS3. Is Shattered Memories the graphically superior game? In a vacuum, no, but it's more impressive to see a weaker system be pushed hard than a stronger system be utilised badly, for me anyway, just like I'd say "meh" if I saw a Formula 1 racing car top 350kph, but I'd be damn impressed if a street car did it.

Far better, at least for high budget games like Crysis.

With a $22m budget and reported 3m (a high percentage of that number at cut price) sales Crysis's record is not very encouraging. Even with the engine developed the sequels sold even poorer.

The irony of the PC is that it has all that power yet the top selling games are mainly all low power sims, strategy etc.,

Since 2005 with Battlefield 2 and Half-life 2 sales of high budget games have been poor. The X360 and PS3 came along and the PC never recovered.

If I was a developer of high budget games I would rather put my efforts into making console games look good and most likely turn a decent profit than putting all that energy and money into developing PC games. Which is what most top developers do.

That is perfectly fine.  As you can tell my favorite games are all console exclusives so I know where you are coming from, and as I said it is impressive on what both the 360 and ps3 has achieved but having a graphical debate every single day on this site gets old.  The WIIU isnt as powerful, oh it is as powerful, the ps3 is more powerful because it has uncharted, the 360 is more powerful because of halo etc etc let me ask, if these games weren't exclusive do you think they would get talked about as much as they do?  Obviously Halo and Uncharted both look good but if they were on the same console would there be so many debates about it?

It's great that you're happy with your PS3, but it's not really powerful by today's standards. Games like Uncharted and God of War 3 look amazing by console standards, but they don't match the best a PC can dish out. (Although it's not really fair to expect them to) They mostly run at 720p, 30fps and  below, and in less open and interactive settings. 512MB of RAM is a hell of a cross to bear in 2012.

As I detailed in my last post, I think it's more than fair to be more impressed by a 6-year-old piece of hardware producing Uncharted 3 than a 6-month-old PC card producing Battlefield 3 at 1080p, but if we're going to get technical... 

Yeah consoles hold PCs back, which proves my point. Exclusive games like Halo and Uncharted can rival PC graphics because hardly any studios try to push PCs. It's like comparing XBOX 360 to PS3. 1st party games from Sony look better than 360 games yet both still compete. Why wouldn't consoles to PCs be the same?
